Yes. Of everything in the park, the Gran Aventura boat ride is the thing people most often name as the highlight of the day.
It runs up the lower river and then straight into the spray beneath the falls. You end up looking up at something that has been in your photographs all morning, from underneath it, being hit by it. Loud, genuinely exhilarating, and over faster than you want.
What it costs you in time
This is the honest constraint. The boat only fits when your flights give you the park open to close, 8 am to 6 pm. On a day that starts later it is the first thing to come off the itinerary, because the alternative is dropping a circuit, and the circuits are the falls themselves.
So if the boat is the reason you are going, the early flight is not optional. Most of the day can absorb a late start. This part cannot.
What to bring
You get completely soaked, the detail is in what to pack for it. Short version: a change of clothes including shoes, a swimsuit underneath, and a dry bag for your passport and phone.
